Educational Qualification

Candidates applying for ITI Trade Apprentice posts must possess the required ITI qualification from a recognized institution.

Qualification Date

The candidate must possess the required passing certificate or final-year marksheet as on 01 July 2026.

Candidates appearing in the required qualifying examination are not eligible to apply.

Age Limit

The candidate should not be less than 18 years of age as on 01 August 2026.

OPTCL Apprentice Stipend 2026

ITI apprentices in Electrician and Electronic Mechanic trades will receive a stipend of ₹9,600 per month, subject to the applicable apprenticeship conditions and satisfactory performance.

Apprenticeship Training Duration

The apprenticeship training period is one year (12 months). The training period starts from the online contract date of apprenticeship training and continues for one year.

Apprentices are entitled to stipend from the start of the online contract date, subject to satisfactory performance during the training period.

Training Location

Apprenticeship training will be provided at different units and offices of OPTCL spread across Odisha.

OPTCL will not provide accommodation or any allowance in lieu of accommodation at the training locations.

Selection Process

OPTCL has stated that selection will be made on the basis of academic merit, written test and/or interview as required.
