ECIL ITI Trade Apprentice Recruitment 2026: Electronics Corporation of India Limited (ECIL), a Miniratna Category-I Public Sector Enterprise under the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India, has invited online applications for engagement of 310 ITI Trade Apprentices at ECIL Hyderabad for the year 2026-27.

ECIL has notified 310 ITI Trade Apprentice seats across 13 trades. The vacancies include reservation for UR, EWS, OBC, SC and ST candidates. Out of the 310 seats, 16 seats are horizontally reserved for PwD candidates.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess an ITI Pass Certificate / NCVT Certificate in the respective trade.

The ITI qualification must be in the trade against which the candidate is applying.

Age Limit

The candidate must be at least 18 years old as on 31 October 2026.

Telangana State Eligibility – Important

This is an important eligibility condition in Advertisement No. 11/2026. Candidates from other states should not apply unless they satisfy the specific residence requirement mentioned in the official notification.

Selection Process

Selection for ECIL ITI Trade Apprentices will be made on the basis of ITI marks merit.

2. Online application through the ECIL website.
3. Merit preparation based on ITI marks.
4. Shortlisting of eligible candidates.
5. Original document verification.
6. Police Verification Certificate submission.
7. Physical fitness certificate submission.

Government ITI and Private ITI Candidates

ECIL has specified a distribution of seats between Government and Private ITI candidates.

The selection is still based on ITI marks merit within the applicable category and eligibility conditions.

Important Apprenticeship Conditions

• The apprenticeship tenure is one year only.
• Candidates who have already undergone apprenticeship under the Apprenticeship Act, 1961 are not eligible.
• Candidates currently undergoing apprenticeship in any Government, PSU or private organization are also not eligible.
• Selected candidates must execute an apprenticeship contract before commencement of training.
• Candidates are not permitted to withdraw from training except for reasons beyond their control.
• A candidate who fails to complete the training may be required to refund the training cost and stipend as determined under the applicable rules.
• After completion of training, apprentices have to undergo a practical test to determine proficiency in the designated trade.
• Successful candidates can receive the National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) as per the applicable process.

No Guarantee of Permanent ECIL Job

The engagement is strictly under the Apprenticeship Act, 1961. ECIL has no obligation to employ apprentices after completion of training.

An apprentice who completes the prescribed training cannot claim a right to regular employment in ECIL merely because the apprenticeship was completed.

Application Fee

The ECIL Advertisement No. 11/2026 does not prescribe an application fee for this ITI apprenticeship engagement.

Police Verification Certificate

Because ECIL is a highly protected establishment, selected apprentices must submit a Police Verification Certificate (PVC) from the Superintendent of Police office of their district headquarters at the time of joining.

Physical Fitness Certificate

Selected candidates must also produce a physical fitness certificate from a Civil Surgeon or Assistant Surgeon at the time of joining.
