RRC North Western Railway Apprentice Recruitment 2026: Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC), North Western Railway (NWR), Jaipur has released Notice No. 04/2026 (NWR/AA) for engagement of 2,008 Act Apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961 for the year 2026-27. ITI candidates can apply for training opportunities in various trades across Jaipur, Ajmer, Bikaner and Jodhpur divisions/units.

RRC NWR Apprentice Vacancy 2026 – 2,008 Slots

The 2,008 provisional training slots are distributed across eight divisions/units of North Western Railway. Candidates must carefully check the availability of their ITI trade before selecting a unit.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must satisfy both of the following requirements:

• Passed Class 10 / Matriculation or equivalent under the 10+2 system with at least 50% aggregate marks.
• Possess a National Trade Certificate (NTC) in the relevant notified trade issued by NCVT or SCVT.

Age Limit

Age will be calculated as on 6 November 2026.

Selection Process

There is no written examination for selection to these Act Apprentice training slots. Selection is based on a merit list prepared from the candidate's Matriculation and ITI marks.

1. Percentage of marks in Matriculation/Class 10 is considered.
2. Percentage of marks in the relevant ITI trade is considered.
3. The merit score is the simple average of Matriculation and ITI percentage.
4. Separate merit lists are prepared Division/Unit-wise, Trade-wise and Community-wise.
5. In case of a tie, the older candidate gets preference.
6. If dates of birth are also the same, the candidate who passed Matriculation earlier is preferred.
7. Shortlisted candidates are called for Document Verification and Medical Examination.

Application Fee

The fee is non-refundable and is paid online through the payment gateway integrated with the RRC Jaipur application process. Any applicable transaction charges are to be borne by the candidate.

Important Dates

Training Period and Stipend

The training period and stipend will be provided as per the applicable rules and directives issued by the Railway Board from time to time.

The notification does not specify a single fixed stipend amount for all trades. Candidates should therefore check the applicable apprenticeship rules and Railway instructions before relying on any stipend figure published elsewhere.

No hostel accommodation will be provided. Selected apprentices must make their own accommodation arrangements during the training period.

Apprenticeship – Important Employment Warning

The engagement is for apprenticeship training under the Apprentices Act, 1961. Completion of apprenticeship training does not give the candidate an automatic right to regular employment or absorption in North Western Railway.

The official notification specifically states that Railway is not obligated to offer employment after completion of apprenticeship training, and apprenticeship training does not confer any right to absorption in Railway.

Candidates must upload a recent colour photograph and scanned signature according to the specifications given in the official notification.

1. Visit the official RRC Jaipur website.
2. Open the Apprentice (04/2026) section.
3. Read the detailed notification carefully.
4. Check the available training slots for your ITI trade.
5. Select only one Division/Unit.
6. Complete the personal, educational and ITI qualification details.
7. Enter the Aadhaar number as required in the application.
8. Upload the required photograph and signature.
9. Pay the applicable application fee online.
10. Verify all details carefully before final submission.
11. Submit the application before 6 November 2026, 11:59 PM.
12. Download and keep a copy of the submitted application and fee receipt.

Important Instructions for Candidates

• Only one Division/Unit can be selected.
• Check your ITI trade against the selected unit before final submission.
• No change in Division/Unit or trade will be considered after selection.
• Multiple applications can result in rejection of all applications.
• The name, father's name and date of birth should match the Matriculation certificate.
• An active mobile number and valid email ID should be provided.
• Original documents will be required during Document Verification.
• Medical fitness is required as prescribed under the apprenticeship rules.
• No TA/DA or travelling allowance will be paid for Document Verification.
• No hostel accommodation is provided.
• Training in Railway does not guarantee regular Railway employment.
